Ah summertime… where nothing else but basking in the sun will do. The time for popsicles and cabana-clad reclining has officially come, and with it; our latest rundown of where to stay, dine and what to do. Where When How is the official go-to guide to the Turks and Caicos Islands, distilling island life into 180 pages. This issue, our ‘Where To Stay’ special, breaks down key areas, types and prices of accommodations to take the hassle out of planning your holiday.
In our regular features, we head to two island restaurant hotpots: Turtle Cove and Leeward, to review the latest specialties to hit the food scene including Beef Carpaccio, Fresh Seafood Cataplana, Conchiglioni Pasta, Crispy Aumoniere of Scallop, Dominican Paella, and Chargrilled Red Snapper. Scouring the scene by way of conch, we hunt down and photograph eight delicious ways restaurants are re-inventing conch into our dishes; from ceviche to pasta, from cracked to pecan encrusted.
Our featured excursion visits the semi-submarine; a fantastic tour available for families and friends to observe coral reefs without getting wet. This, paired with our comprehensive rundown of island activities, the lowdown on the art scene, property scene and natural landscape, offers an essential accompaniment to your TCI island life, ‘made beautiful by way of nature.'
