Local legend purports that female pirate Anne Bonny stayed here in the 1720s, lending the original name, Pirate Cay. Now home to the exclusive Parrot Cay Resort and Shambhala Spa Retreat. The cay is a privately owned island retreat only accessible by boat from Providenciales. Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher have holidayed at Parrot Cay on several occasions, including their trip to attend Bruce Willis’ wedding to model and actress, Emma Heming in 2009. A few years earlier, in June of 2005, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner also chose to say their vows at Parrot Cay. Zac Efron spent Christmas 2010 on the island with Rumer Willis, Bruce and Demi’s daughter.
